The Children's Course has been in existence since 1910. Situated in the heart of the village of Gullane, the Club's six-hole Children's Course is a perfect place for children to have their first round of golf.
Any child can play the course at no cost and booking is not required.
The Children’s Course is a great place for kids to refine their swing and hone their shot-making skills. Adults are welcome to play although they must be accompanied by a child!
Patrick Goss, Director of Golf Northwestern University and short game coach to Luke Donald and Gary Woodland commented on Twitter in July 2013 "America: if we want to grow the game this is what we need more of, public golfing ground in Gullane for kids."
Play the six holes of the Children's Course and receive a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of completing your first ever round of golf.
Gullane Golf Club would like to award any child under the age of 12 a Certificate of Achievement.
To collect your certificate please visit the Reception in the Visitors' Clubhouse or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Club recently received a testimonial regrding this initiatve:
"I came to play the children's course with my four year old daughter this afternoon, and just wanted to send you an email to say thank you for the great welcome you provided us as a club. It was my daughter's first time on a golf course and she loved it, but if playing wasn't enough, the welcome received at your reception and the certificate/ welcome pack was very well received by my daughter. I realise this type of treatment doesn't come for free, and as a club you have chosen to welcome children in this great way. Thank you again for that - if only every golf club would take such a progressive and friendly view, the future of our great game would be in safe hands. We will be back. Thank you again, Andrew & Maisie Whale - Edinburgh." May 2017
