The Secretary of Gullane Golf Club is responsible for the membership of the Club.

Currently the waiting list for Ordinary Membership and 5-Day member is closed. A date has not yet been set for it re-opening.

The only category currently open for membership is Country and the criteria is that the principal place of abode (or principal residence) must not be less than 150 miles from the Club.

The procedure to apply for membership is to find existing members of GGC who are full members of not less than 5 years standing, to propose and second the application plus obtain signatures of another four existing members. The proposer and seconder must not have proposed or seconded anyone within the past 2 years. The proposer collects an application form from the Secretary.

For Junior membership the same process applies for proposer and seconder however the four additional signatures are not required.

A specified number of Residents permits are available to play courses No. 2 and No.3 and the criteria to apply for a permit is that you must be a resident of the Parish of Dirleton and are not a member of a golf club within the Lothians area.
